Since 2015, The UpWrite Group has awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships to high school seniors. The students are required to complete an essay describing how they will use communications and writing in their career field. We have had submissions from future communicators, physical therapists, business owners, nurses, farmers, and more. We love seeing the creativity of kids and have a vision for developing and driving a comprehensive career development program in the Southern Illinois region.
We have also partnered with a local homeless shelter to help people get back on their feet with free resumes and cover letters. This has included working hand-in-hand with each job seeker to understand their experience and goals, and then developing custom career documentation to position them for new roles.
